The Lake Como Girls: The Case of the Missing Gladiator

Book 2 in the mystery series

Summer and Francesca shed their scuba gear and don ancient robes. This time they’re working as translators at the Coliseum in Rome. The girls soon learn that translating is not all about pointing to the bathrooms or checking ticket lines. The job gets a little rough when a drunk and disorderly tourist leaves them with bruised arms. Fortunately, a handsome gladiator comes to their rescue. But when that gladiator doesn’t show up for work one morning, the girls find themselves in far more danger that leaves them racing through the streets of Rome pursued by loan sharks. Who says you need to scuba dive to meet a shark!

The Lake Como Girls: Trapped in the Duomo

Book 3 in the mystery series

Summer and Francesca step off the train into the city of Florence. Francesca’s father Matteo is accompanying them, along with Summer’s mother Angelica. Much to the chagrin of Francesca, the girls have been mandated to stop rescuing people and instead to shop for clothes and tour galleries and cathedrals like good teenagers. And to make sure everyone stays out of trouble, their friends Arabella and Stefano have been summoned from Lake Como. But like Summer says, trouble splatters right in front of them. So much for looking good in new clothes! Having left the underground labyrinthian of Roman Coliseum behind them, Summer and Francesca reach for the sky this time. They, along with their friend Arabella, climb the dark twisting stairs of the Duomo Cathedral in the heart of Florence. But the Duomo hides a secret, something that will force the girls to face a world pierced by poverty and to learn what it means to be courageous when you have no one to save you.
